Before coming to Italy, I didn't realize how indulgent I could be. During my week-long stay, my daily meals looked roughly like this:
\nBreakfast - Dishes prepared by the bed and breakfast.
\nLunch - Gelato.
\nAfternoon Tea - Gelato and Coffee.
\nDinner - Gelato.<\/p>\n

Unlike the rich, milky, or tea flavors of Japanese ice cream, Italian gelato is made with a generous amount of fruit. Not only is it refreshingly smooth, but sometimes it even has fresh fruit pieces added, providing a delightful surprise. Even the most ordinary watermelon flavor feels like dozens of watermelons dancing on the tongue. Gelato reminds me of this poem by the English poet William Blake.
