Due to the proximity of Masada and the Dead Sea, with only two bus stops between them, a day trip from Jerusalem is easily achievable.<\/p>\n

In the 1st century AD, the Jews, after retreating to Masada, made the tragic decision to commit suicide rather than surrender to the Roman army and become slaves. This history has led many Israelis to appreciate watching the sunrise at Masada or hosting coming-of-age ceremonies at this historic site.<\/p>\n

Taking the cable car to reach Masada and witnessing the formidable terrain, one can't help but admire the Jews and the Roman army of that era. Whether in offense or defense, both require exceptional willpower and strategy.<\/p>\n

The reason I didn't visit the Dead Sea in Jordan was because there was a free and clean public beach called Ein Bokek on the Israeli side. In a country with high living costs like Israel, having such a public facility is truly fantastic!<\/p>\n
