Suzdal, located northeast of Moscow, is one of the ancient cities on Russia's famous Golden Ring.
◦ Golden Ring
The "Golden Ring" is a cultural and historical journey that starts from Moscow, circles around eight ancient cities in the northeast, and then leads back to Moscow. Suzdal, known as a "fairy-tale town," is one of these historic towns and also an ancient Russian settlement. It once served as a center for both government and religion and remains a town where Russian culture is well-preserved.
◦ The Countryside Scenery of Suzdal
Apart from churches and monasteries, what really captivated us were the beautiful countryside and wooden structures, making us want to stay even longer. The guesthouse where we stayed was entirely made of wood, offering the unique aroma and warmth that only raw timber can provide. Moreover, the backyard vegetable garden was like a treasure chest, nurturing all of us who hadn't spent quality time with nature in a while.
