Interestingly, this plot resonates with André Chénier, who was arrested during the revolutionary period and ultimately sent to the guillotine.
The director and set designers took inspiration from the famous painting "The Death of Marat" by the French artist David and magnified it to create the main stage. The shimmering lake dividing the audience and the stage, the unique viewing experience that left me profoundly amazed.
