During my trip in Egypt, I once asked five Egyptians about their top vacation destination, and they all recommended Hurghada along the Red Sea coast! Hurghada gave me a feeling very much like "Taichung," with its attention to architecture and greenery, which set it apart from other cities.

◦ Family Resort: The Local's Favorite Beach
When you're in Hurghada, you definitely want to enjoy the water and watch the sunset over the Red Sea. Since the beachfront resort closest to my hotel was a family resort, I decided to spend the entire afternoon here. Almost everyone here was local, and besides the Red Sea, I also saw interesting interactions among Egyptian family members up close.

◦ El Dahar Bazars
This market mainly sells items that are popular among "local" tourists, such as fashionable headscarves (Ḥijāb) and robes (Abaya).
What amazed me the most was the barbecue restaurant in the alleyway. A table full of delicious dishes, plus a tip, came to a total of 200 EGP.
◦ Hotel: Palm Inn Hotel
With a price of just $22 per night and a 3-minute walk to the beach, the Palm Inn Hotel is truly an ideal choice. Not only do they offer spacious rooms in a great location, but their breakfast is also quite plentiful, making it a great value for accommodation option!

◦ Transportation: GO BUS
Getting to and from Hurghada to other cities is quite convenient. In addition to the railway, I highly recommend GO BUS. Not only are GO BUS tickets affordable, but their English-language booking system is also very user-friendly.
