This restaurant was recommended by my friend, who had studied in Paris for many years. Being a gourmet, she told me that if I wanted to try the famous French dish, escargot, I definitely couldn't miss this restaurant, Le Café des Musées.

◦ Les Escargots
Before the main course arrived, I couldn't resist trying the famous French appetizer that had piqued my curiosity: French-style baked escargot. Covering the snails was a rich and creamy garlic and basil sauce. With the first bite, a burst of intense garlic and basil aromas filled my senses. As I chewed, just moments before swallowing the ingredients, the fresh scent of olive oil began to emerge. At that moment, the oil, now infused with the flavors of sea salt and the green sauce, not only enhanced the sweetness of the snail but also completely transformed my overall impression of the dish compared to just a few seconds ago!
◦ Roasted Rabbit with Potatoes
The roasted rabbit with potatoes was generously seasoned with herbs and cream. However, despite that, the unique smell of rabbit meat made it difficult for me to swallow. With a slow, deliberate pace, I took a bite of rabbit meat and followed it with a sip of wine. Finally, I managed to finish this dish, although it required some effort.
◦ Dining Anecdote: The Time Difference Between French and Taiwanese
Due to a packed schedule for the day, I had chosen the earliest available reservation time when booking the restaurant: 12 o'clock. When I arrived at the restaurant on time, I found myself to be the only customer there. At that moment, I had not yet noticed anything unusual. I spent about ten minutes studying the menu, even though I had already decided what to order. It was only then that I realized the waitstaff had been missing for a while. Half an hour passed, and customers started to arrive one by one. Just as I was about to lose patience and contemplate leaving, I suddenly felt the entire restaurant come to life! Waitstaff shuttled between tables, while the restaurant's staff bustled about, all seemingly happening almost simultaneously.
By the time the appetizers were served, it was already 1 o'clock in the afternoon. This left me wondering, "Had I arrived too early?"
