My boss is a die-hard meat lover, but interestingly, every time he comes back to Taiwan, he makes a point of visiting Fruitful Food at least once a week. I've never been particularly interested in vegetarian buffets, but after dining here, I finally understood why he loves it so much. The dishes are not only beautifully presented and incredibly delicious, but they also bring out the natural flavors of each ingredient to their fullest. At no point did I feel like I was "missing meat." Instead, the experience completely reshaped my perception of vegetarian cuisine.
One thoughtful detail I really appreciated was the clear labeling for every dish. Whether it's vegan, ovo-vegetarian, lacto-vegetarian, or allium-free vegetarian, everything is clearly indicated. They also note whether a dish contains alcohol, nuts, or other special ingredients, making it easy for vegetarians with different dietary preferences to dine with confidence.

◦ Fruitful Food's Signature Dishes
These signature dishes are what Fruitful Food is known for. After trying nearly everything, these were my top five favorites. I even went back for the Caramelized Orange four times—my friends joked that I was the kind of customer who makes an all-you-can-eat restaurant lose money!
01|Spicy Braised Tofu
This spicy braised tofu is wonderfully numbing and aromatic, making it perfect for a chilly winter day. That said, its bold flavors are so appetizing that it's just as enjoyable in the summer. It's stir-fried with spicy broad bean paste, Sichuan pepper oil, and mushrooms to create layers of rich aroma before being slowly braised with premium tofu until every bite is packed with flavor. The spice level is pleasantly moderate—even my friends who usually avoid spicy food enjoyed it.

02|European-Style Handmade Pizza
The handmade pizza at Fruitful Food is seriously impressive. To be honest, my first impression wasn't great. The toppings looked fairly simple, and I didn't expect much. But one bite completely changed my mind. Made with imported Italian stone-ground wheat flour, the crust is lightly crisp on the outside while remaining chewy and springy inside. The more you chew, the more fragrant it becomes. It easily outshines many well-known pizza chains, and I couldn't resist going back for another slice.
03|Sichuan-Style Braised Plant-Based Beef Noodle Soup
This is one of Fruitful Food's must-order dishes. The rich vegetable broth carries just the right amount of heat, while the slow-braised mushroom-based plant meat absorbs every bit of the flavorful soup. Even as someone who normally loves meat, I found myself happily finishing it.

04|Lion's Mane Mushroom with Black Pepper Sauce
If you're transitioning from a meat-based diet to vegetarian food and still crave the satisfying feeling of biting into a thick piece of "meat," this is the dish to order.
The lion's mane mushroom is cut into generous, thick slices. Pair it with the aromatic black pepper sauce or simply dip it in a little rose salt, and its natural sweetness really shines through. While it doesn't have the rich fattiness of a steak, the hearty texture and satisfying bite made it incredibly enjoyable—even for a devoted meat lover like me.
05|Caramelized Orange
This was hands down my favorite dish. Normally, I don't eat many tart fruits like oranges or grapefruit. But once they're sprinkled with brown sugar and caramelized with a torch, they become something entirely different. The caramelized sugar forms a delicate, crispy shell that perfectly balances the citrusy acidity. Refreshing yet indulgent, it's the perfect palate cleanser. I loved it so much that I went back for four servings.
◦ Fruitful Food's Summer Seasonal Specials
Every season, Fruitful Food introduces a limited-time menu featuring seasonal ingredients. These three dishes left the strongest impression on me, and I'd definitely recommend them if you're visiting this summer.
01|Plum-Flavored Coral Seaweed Jelly
This refreshing jelly earned unanimous praise from everyone at our table. Crunchy agar jelly is paired with green sea grapes and finished with a house-made plum sauce. The first bite brings a bright, sweet-and-tangy plum aroma, followed by the delicate fruitiness of balsamic-marinated cherry tomatoes. The combination creates layers of refreshing, well-balanced flavors.
02|Fresh Fruit Hand Roll
The highlight of this hand roll is the crisp apple slices tucked inside. Fresh apples and shredded lettuce create an incredibly refreshing crunch, while the chef's special sauce adds a pleasant balance of sweetness and acidity that makes every bite wonderfully appetizing.
03|Seared Truffle Cheese California Roll
This California roll combines shimeji mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms, and king oyster mushrooms to create layers of texture. Creamy avocado adds a smooth mouthfeel and a subtle buttery richness, while the lightly seared truffle cheese rounds everything out beautifully. It's an ideal savory bite before moving on to dessert.
◦ Bonus Picks You Absolutely Shouldn't Miss
01|70% Nama Chocolate
I've actually made nama chocolate before, so I know the process isn't particularly complicated. At its core, all you really need is high-quality chocolate and fresh cream—though Fruitful Food uses plant-based cream instead. With so few ingredients, the quality of the chocolate becomes everything.
Fruitful Food's 70% nama chocolate genuinely impressed me. It's silky smooth, perfectly balanced between sweetness and gentle bitterness, and you can immediately tell it was made with excellent cocoa. It's a dessert crafted with real care.
02|Truffle Deviled Eggs
The truffle deviled eggs are one of the most popular items in the cold appetizer section. Hard-boiled eggs are halved, the yolks are blended with mayonnaise and butter, then finished with truffle sauce and a sprinkle of paprika. The filling is wonderfully smooth and creamy, while the rich aroma of truffle blends beautifully with the eggs, creating a simple yet unforgettable appetizer.
