Café Constant, located near the Eiffel Tower, offers set menus that usually cost around €40 or less, with even more affordable prices for lunch. Considering the exorbitant prices in Paris, it can be considered budget-friendly. The best part is that the overall experience is surprisingly impressive!
◦ Prepare for the Inevitable Wait in Line
Arriving at Café Constant at 6:30 in the evening, I found a long queue already formed, even though they only started serving at 7:00. It took another two hours before I was finally seated and served.
◦ Duck Confit with Potatoes and Apples
For the appetizers, the fresh olive oil enhanced the sweetness of the raw shrimp and salmon, effectively stimulating my appetite. After the main course was served, the duck confit with potatoes and caramelized apples completely amazed me! The mashed potatoes melted in my mouth, perfectly complementing the tender duck meat and the aroma of the duck fat. The sweet and salty flavor of the caramelized apple slices balanced the richness of the duck leg.
Finally, the intensely sweet caramel pudding left me in awe of the French people's love for all things sweet.
