◦ Little Adam's Peak
Ella has two main hiking spots: Ella Rock and Little Adam's Peak. Ella Rock is more challenging and requires good fitness and a guide, while Little Adam's Peak is an easier route that takes about one hour for a round trip. Along the way, you can see the famous swing and a zipline.
At the top, you'll find large rocks at the edge of the cliff where many people take stunning photos.
◦ Nine Arches Bridge
The Nine Arch Bridge, which is nearly 100 meters long with nine arches, is one of the grandest engineering feats from the early 20th century in Sri Lanka and a prime example of colonial-era railway construction. The Nine Arches Bridge is hidden within vast tea plantations and can only be reached by passing through groves. After coming down from Little Adam's Peak, the entrance to the Nine Arches Bridge is not far away. Follow the signs, turn left and right, and walk straight for about 20 minutes to reach the bridge.
The scenic spot along the way displays train schedules so you can see when trains will pass.
It is strongly recommended to arrive before 11 AM. Not only can you see trains from different directions within half an hour, but you might also catch a train that stops on the bridge, giving tourists plenty of time to take pictures.
