During this trip to Vietnam, I specifically set aside a day to revisit the Cu Chi Tunnels, a place I had been to back in elementary school. I still remember how small I was at the time — crawling through the tunnels felt effortless, almost like exploring a secret playground. It was exciting and fun. Returning this time, however, I realized just how unbelievably narrow the tunnels actually are. I bumped into the walls countless times and finally reached the end with an aching back and sore waist.

I happened to have a short vacation, so I decided to visit Vietnam. The last time I came to Ho Chi Minh City was when I was in elementary school. Returning again after so many years, I could still feel the vibrant energy and lively atmosphere of the city. Formerly known as Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city and economic center of Vietnam. Most of the major attractions are concentrated in District 1, making it easy to explore on foot or by using Grab for short rides.
My twelve-day trip to Vietnam is coming to an end, and this is the third time I've traveled without a suitcase. After trying it in Spain two years ago, I couldn't go back to using a suitcase. Not only do I not have to worry about whether the suitcase can handle the local roads, but I can also pack quickly in a short time. It's a travel style that can be quite addictive!

My friend and I arrived at Sapa, Vietnam, at an altitude of 1650 meters, where the temperature was only 6 degrees Celsius, but it felt quite comfortable. Our local guide, a mother of two children, took us through several small towns. She spoke fluent English but had never received any formal education. She learned everything from tourists since she started working as a guide at the age of thirteen. What truly surprised me was that she had always lived in Sapa and had never been to Hanoi.
