Hong Kong ◦ Food | The Afternoon Tea at Mandarin Oriental

by YU-LING

During my trip to Hong Kong, one of the main reasons I chose to stay at Mandarin Oriental was the chance to enjoy their English afternoon tea at a relaxed pace. When I saw the complete set of tea utensils, the three-tiered dessert platter, and the beautifully embroidered tablecloth, it felt like a special ceremony.

Putting aside the luxurious decorations of Mandarin Oriental, the savory food itself would make me want to come back again. The freshness of the seafood and the deliciousness of the meat items are presented in the various savory snacks.

In addition to the afternoon tea, another must-try highlight is their rose jam. The fragrant jam not only enhances the desserts but also earned rave reviews from my nearly ninety-year-old grandmother.
