On the way to Berlin, my friend asked, "Do you know what food you should try in Berlin? The delicious Vietnamese pho!" I understood that she wasn't just talking about Vietnamese pho, but was highlighting that Berlin offers a variety of delicious international cuisines to try.
Five years ago, during my first visit to Berlin, I fell in love with Turkish cuisine. Hummus, made with a base of chickpeas and seasoned with lemon, sesame oil, garlic, and olive oil, is the appetizer that I could never get tired of.
During this visit to Berlin, I had the opportunity to try Sichuan dishes such as Mouthwatering Chicken (口水雞) and Spicy Sliced Beef (夫妻肺片) at a Chinese restaurant, and they truly conquered my taste buds. Additionally, I was surprised by the texture of the Persian dish Yogurt with Mint. While I can't say I loved it, it certainly broadened my horizons.
And what about Vietnamese pho? We completely forgot about the pho!
